Civil Servant Day in Brazil
Translated from the original.
Article 236 of Law No. 8,112 of 11 December 1990 establishes that October 28 is officially Civil Servant Day in Brazil.
The history of the public service is recent and is intertwined, to a certain extent, with the emergence of Administrative Law in Europe and the Americas. Today is the day to honor Brazil's public servants. They are responsible for providing these services which, today, more than public, can be described as being of general or collective interest. I share here a brilliant article, written as early as 1972, by Octaciano da Costa Nogueira Filho, on the History of the Public Service
